Audi Australia has recalled the 2018-2021 Q7 and Q8 due to an issue with the fuel delivery unit.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel delivery unit inside the fuel tank may break,” Audi Australia says in its recall notice.

“If this occurs it could result in the broken pieces damaging the fuel delivery system. This may cause a sudden loss of motive power.”

“If the vehicle loses motive power, it may lead to the risk of a crash resulting in serious injury or death to occupants or other road users.”

The fault “may cause the emission control system warning lamp to light up.”

    • A total of 660 vehicles are affected

Owners affected by the recall will be contacted by Audi Australia, and will be asked to arrange with their nearest authorised Audi dealership to carry out the repairs free of charge.
