Genesis has simplified the local G80 line-up for 2023, while also making some detail changes.
The base 2.5T can no longer be specified with a Sport Line Package, leaving only the choice of a Luxury Package or a Luxury & Sport Line Package.
It does now, however, come standard with the upgraded brake package previously found only on 3.5T and Sport variants. This includes larger front brake rotors with four-piston monobloc calipers embossed with the Genesis wordmark, plus larger ventilated rear rotors.
The 3.5T now comes with the previously optional Luxury Package as standard, while the Sport Package is optional. That means you can no longer get a ‘standard’ 3.5T, nor can you get the Sport Package goodies without getting all the Luxury Package kit as well.
The Electrified G80 also gains an Ergo Motion 18-way power-adjustable front passenger seat with massaging, as well as a wireless phone charger for the back seat, aligning it with petrol-powered G80s with the Luxury Package.
All models get a raised rotary dial for the infotainment system, replacing the previous concave unit. This change was previously introduced on the related GV80 crossover.
Finally, all models get a colour-coded rear brake caliper cover with the Genesis wordmark, matching the brakes up front.
Compared with 2022 models, pricing is up by $2000 on the Electrified G80 and $2009 on the 2.5T.
The mandating of the Luxury Package on the 3.5T also sees its price increase by $15,009 compared with the ‘standard’ 2022 3.5T, although like-for-like the price increase is only $2009.

Servicing and Warranty
The Genesis G80 is backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, with the Electrified G80’s battery backed by an eight-year warranty.

There’s also 10 years of free roadside assist and satellite navigation map updates, and buyers of Genesis Electrified products also get the choice of a five-year subscription to the Chargefox network, or a complementary home AC charger including installation.
