The GWM Cannon Alpha is a larger and more upmarket ute that sits above the regular Cannon in the brand's Australian range. It gives GWM a rival for buyers who want extra cabin space, stronger presence and more comfort-oriented equipment from a dual-cab pickup. The Cannon Alpha's role is to blur the line between work ute and family touring vehicle, with diesel and hybrid options helping it stand apart from many value-focused rivals. It is still priced to challenge the established names, but feels more ambitious than the standard Cannon. Its appeal is size, equipment and capability for buyers who want a bigger ute without stepping into full-size American pickup territory.
