BMW Australia has recalled the 2012-18 M6 Gran Coupe, over concerns about a problem with the high-mounted third brake light.

BMW says the third brake light might not be attached correctly, and could loosen or detach from the car.

If the brake light detaches from the car while driving, it could cause an accident.

    • A total of 74 vehicles are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Owners will be contacted by BMW, and advised to organise a free fix. Concerned M6 Gran Coupe drivers can call 1800 813 299 for more information.
