Lotus has treated the Emira sports car to some minor revisions for 2025.

Gone are the Emira First Edition and Emira V6 First Edition models which launched locally in 2022 and 2023 respectively – in their place are the Emira Turbo, Emira Turbo SE, and Emira V6.

Australian orders for the Emira Turbo and Turbo SE are set to open from mid-October. Orders for the Emira V6, on the other hand, are likely to open in 2025.

Pricing for the 2025 Lotus Emira Turbo is $199,990 before on-road costs, which is the same price as the now-defunct First Edition.

The new 2025 Lotus Emira Turbo SE is priced at $209,990 before on-roads, which is the same price V6 First Edition manual. Lotus Cars Australia hasn’t detailed pricing for the 2025 Emira V6 at this stage.

A major part of this 2025 model year (MY25) update is the introduction of the Turbo nomenclature for the turbocharged four-cylinder models.

This nameplate has a long history with the brand that dates back to 1980, when it first appeared on the Turbo Esprit.

The Lotus Emira Turbo continues to be powered by a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 268kW of power and 430Nm of torque.

It’s a detuned version of the engine in the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S, and is exclusively mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The new-for-2025 Emira Turbo SE harks back to when SE was originally meant a ‘Special Equipment’ package with more power and equipment.

It takes the Mercedes-AMG 2.0-litre turbo-four and boosts the outputs to 298kW and 480Nm. Like the regular Emira Turbo, the Turbo SE is still only available with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Lotus claims the Emira Turbo SE can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.0 seconds, and flat out it’ll do 290km/h. This makes it the quickest Emira variant to date.

Lastly, the Emira V6 continues to be powered by a Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine producing 298kW. It’s still available with either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions.

In terms of standard equipment, the 2025 Lotus Emira Turbo gains new single-piece brakes, 20-inch gloss silver lightweight cast alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tyres , Emira Turbo badging, standard foot pedals, and a new interior “technical fabric” headliner.

Other standard features include Vivid Red paint, black brake calipers, ‘Touring’ suspension settings, black leather upholstery, and 12-way electrically adjustable seats.

The new Emira Turbo SE adds the Lotus Drivers Pack as standard including ‘Sports’ suspension settings, uprated cross-drilled and ventilated two-piece brake discs, and launch control.

Other standard features include 20-inch Satin Grey forged wheels, Zinc Grey paint, Alcantara headliner, red brake calipers, Emira Turbo SE badging, as well as black Lotus badging and tailpipes.

Lastly, the Emira V6 gains a limited-slip differential (LSD) for manual models. It also picks up the design tweaks the Emira Turbo received.
