Volkswagen’s electric people mover is finally coming to Australia in December.

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz entered production in 2022, and shares its MEB underpinnings with other electric vehicles (EVs) from the brand such as the ID.4 SUV.

It will arrive here first in single-motor rear-wheel drive Pro guise, with either short- or long-wheelbase body styles. The latter brings a third row of seating.

The higher-output, dual-motor all-wheel drive GTX will follow in the first quarter of 2025.

Volkswagen Australia hasn’t listed full specifications for the range-topping GTX, though it has confirmed a price tag of $109,990 before on-road costs.
