Electric cars are the future of the automotive industry, and consumers all around the world are eagerly awaiting the latest electric cars to hit the market.

In this quest, rapper Wyclef Jean has launched his own electric supercar – the Apex AP-0. With an ultra-low weight of only 1200 kg (around 2650lb), the Apex AP-0 weighs almost half its closest competitor, the Rimac Nevera.

The Apex AP-0 was first revealed in March 2020 as a road-legal, race-inspired electric sports car. It was supposed to go into production in 2022 and offer Level 3 autonomous driving with an upgrade to Level 4 to come later.

However, the production was delayed and the company went silent, leaving us wondering whether the project would ever come to fruition.

The beauty of the Apex AP-0 was always its weight, or rather a lack of it. Electric cars these days are synonymous with weight, and the Apex AP-0 sets a new benchmark for lightweight electric cars. It’s made almost entirely out of carbon fibre, which makes it incredibly light and agile.

The Apex APO boasts advanced aerodynamics and a carbon fibre chassis, with a rear electric motor producing an impressive 650 hp and 427 lb-ft (580Nm) of torque.

With a top speed of 190 mph and a 0 to 60mph time of just 2.3 seconds, this car is sure to turn heads and get your heart racing.

Pricing is said to start at around $350,000 ($A531,111) which is quite attractive for its segment.
