Audi has brought back Dynamic Black limited editions of its popular Q3 and Q5.
The brand says they’re arriving in showrooms now.
As with last year’s Dynamic Black models, the limited edition treatment has been applied to 35 TFSI versions of both the Q3 and Q3 Sportback, as well as 35 TDI and 45 TFSI versions of the Q5.
This time, though, there’s no Q5 40 TDI quattro Dynamic Black, nor can you get a special edition Q5 Sportback.
Audi says both models come standard with metallic or pearlescent paint, though it hasn’t said which finishes are available.
Audi Q3
For an extra $6500 over the regular Q3 35 TFSI and $5600 over the Q3 35 TFSI Sportback, the Dynamic Black models receive plenty of extra kit.
Q3 models receive a black exterior styling package, including black badging and black roof rails on the wagon. Privacy glass is also standard.
There are standard 19-inch alloy wheels (instead of 18s) with a polished grey finish, as well as heated and power-folding exterior mirrors, and a colour-matched lower bumper treatment front and rear.
Inside, there are heated and power-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar, as well as a surround-view camera, and a 10-speaker sound system (up from six).
While the Q3 may have lost some colour outside, it has gained some inside with standard colour-adjustable ambient lighting.
Both Q3s also get an aluminium interior package, which is usually standard only on the Sportback.

Audi Q5
The special edition Q5s are based on the 35 TDI and 45 TFSI quattro Sport, and cost an extra $2800 and $2600, respectively. You can view a full breakdown of the Q5 lineup here.
As with the Dynamic Black Q3s, the special edition Q5s receive an extended black exterior package with black badging and roof rails.
They ride on 20-inch wheels finished in matte black, behind which sit – on the 45 TFSI at least – red brake calipers.
Inside, colour-adjustable ambient lighting is standard, something usually exclusive to the S line.
The 45 TFSI quattro Dynamic Black also features the “design selection interior” in black with Rock Grey contrast stitching and an extended upholstery package.
