General Motors Australia is recalling 109 examples of the Chevrolet Corvette sports car due to a software issue that causes the vehicle’s lighting to not be compliant with an Australian Design Rule (ADR).

This recall affects C8-generation Corvette models produced during 2022.

“Due to a software issue, when the master light switch is set to automatic light control, the headlights, tail lamps, park lamps and license plate lamps will be turned ON and the day time running lamps will be turned OFF,” said the company in its recall notice.

“The vehicles are not compliant with the Australian Design Rule (ADR13/00)-Installation of Lighting.”

If you own an affected vehicle you’ll be contacted by GM Australia and be requested to contact your local dealer to have the body control module (BCM) updated, free of charge.

If you have any further questions you can contact GMSV Customer Care on 1800 004 678.
