A criminal has stolen a valuable Holden Commodore in the most conspicuous way possible, hitching it to a tow truck and stealing it from a carpark in broad daylight.
Sunrise shared footage taken by a bystander on Tuesday of the VF Series II Commodore SS-V Redline being towed away by a flatbed tow truck from a shopping centre in Browns Plains, Queensland.
The thief isn’t even trying to look like a legitimate tow truck driver, with the Commodore hitched up incorrectly. That led to its front bumper being partially pulled off when the vehicle struck a kerb.

The tow truck was both unregistered and unmarked.
The Holden’s owner, Mako Shanks, said she had only been parked at the shopping centre for around an hour.
Ms Shanks addressed the thief on Sunrise, saying, “Get a ****-ing job, you’re nothing but a ****ing lowlife.”
“You go to work, you sweat your guts out, you work for what you’ve got and some lowlife takes it,” she added.
The car was last seen on Chambers Flat Road in Logan, and as of this morning has yet to be recovered.
Should Ms Shanks get her pride and joy back, she may find herself waiting a while to receive a replacement front bumper.
There has recently been significant delays for replacement plastic components for Commodores, including bumpers.
Ms Shanks’ car is among the most sought after modern Commodores.
A look at classifieds sites shows VF II SS-V Redlines are going from anywhere between $35,000 and over $100,000.
