Cupra has confirmed the launch location of its Garages, and has officially opened its order books for Australia.
The Volkswagen Group’s sporty mainstream spinoff, Cupra, has officially opened its order books in Australia.
First examples of the Cupra Leon hatch, and the Formentor and Ateca SUVs, have rolled off the boat ahead of first deliveries in August. Order books are now open for all customers, after offering just 100 Launch Editions in May.
The plug-in hybrid Leon and Formentor VZe models will hit Cupra Garages (the retail-style spaces Cupra is using instead of conventional dealers) in August, ahead of first deliveries in September.
Although it offers online ordering, Cupra buyers will be able to buy a car at a Cupra Garage (locations listed at the end). Cupra earlier in 2022 confirmed with which dealers and dealer groups it’s partnering for those Garages.
Once a customer expresses their interest, the brand will assign a specific staff member (dubbed Cupra Masters) to handle the process.
That includes everything from organising test drives to placing an order, arranging finance, and explaining how the brand’s servicing and warranty works.
“We have ensured that the online ordering that commences today is complemented by Cupra City Garage and agent locations that deliver high-quality interactions and a seamless purchasing process – including transparent drive-away pricing and three-year scheduled servicing included,” said Cupra Australia director Ben Wilks.
Cupra will debut with the Leon, Formentor, and Ateca locally, before the Born electric car touches down early in 2023.
Pricing for the 2022 range kicks off at $43,990 before on-roads for the Leon V, and extends to $61,490 before on-roads for the range-topping Formentor VZx.
The 2023 range will begin rolling out later in the year with a range of detail changes which mean the line-up kicks off at $43,990 as before, but tops out at $61,990 before on-roads.
