An ambulance rushing to the scene of a medical emergency may have caused another one.
Footage shared by Dash Cam Owners Australia shows an Isuzu MU-X ambulance, with its flashing lights on, inadvertently performing a pit manoeuvre on a Chery Omoda 5.
The Chery was proceeding through an intersection on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, and had a green light.
It appears the Chery driver didn’t hear the ambulance coming from their left, and it’s possible they didn’t see them either through shrubbery on the side of the road.
The Chery had almost cleared the intersection when the Isuzu clipped the passenger side of its rear bumper.

The impact caused the Omoda 5 to roll over and land on its roof, before hitting the kerb and shifting some more.
It’s unclear just how fast the ambulance was going, and if it had attempted to slow down for the red light to ensure it was safe to proceed through.
It’s also unclear if any of the parties involved were injured.
In addition to traditional Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based ambulances, Queensland Ambulance Service uses vehicles such as the Isuzu MU-X for critical care paramedics.
These aren’t used for patient transport, but carry essential medical equipment and are used for emergencies.
While drivers are required to give way to an emergency vehicle sounding an alarm or flashing its lights, even if it’s going through a red light, emergency vehicles typically stop or slow down when entering intersections to ensure they can pass through safely.
