Ram is offering buyers of its DT-series 1500 a significant discount, but only for a limited time.
Until March 31, 2024, the Ram 1500 Big Horn’s registration, compulsory third-party insurance, stamp duty and dealer delivery fees waived – resulting in a drive-away price of $119,950 for the short wheelbase (5′ 7″ tub) and $121,900 for the long wheelbase (6′ 4″ tub).
Depending on where you live, this can amount to about $10,000 off the purchase price, bringing it closer to its Ford F-150 rival, which is priced between $116,125 to $120,269 drive-away in short wheelbase guise, and $117,150 to $121,329 as a long wheelbase.
The discount is only available at participating Ram dealers which have stock and can deliver the pickup to customers before the deadline.

The Ram 1500 Big Horn is powered by a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 petrol engine, producing 291kW and 556Nm, mated to a eight-speed automatic transmission with a full-time four-wheel drive system.
An updated 1500 was revealed in the US in November 2023, ditching the venerable 5.7-litre V8 for a twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight-six ‘Hurricane’ engine.
Base versions of the Hurricane produce 313kW and 636Nm, while the flagship Hurricane H/O (High Output) is bumped up to 402kW and 706Nm.
Ram Trucks Australia is yet to confirm when we can expect the new-generation, Hurricane-powered 1500 in local showrooms.
