Hyundai Australia will make 300 Ioniq 6s available to order next week on its website, and they’ll be available across every state and territory.
The drop will take place on Wednesday, February 22 at 1pm AEDT.
The batch will consist of 229 Dynamiq models, 36 Techniqs and 35 Epiqs. Customer deliveries will take place within three months.
Additionally, 170 Ioniq 5s will be available to order: 48 Dynamiqs, 68 Techniqs and 54 Epiqs. Delivery will take place within 2-4 weeks.
The Ioniq 6 range opens at $74,000 before on-road costs for the Dynamiq, rising to $83,500 before on-roads for the Techniq and $88,000 list for the Epiq.
The Dynamiq has a single-motor rear-wheel drive powertrain with 168kW of power and 350Nm of torque, while the others feature dual-motor all-wheel drive and outputs of 239kW and 605Nm.
All models have a 77.4kWh battery pack and an 800V electrical architecture, with the Dynamiq offering 614km of WLTP range and the Techniq and Epiq having 519km of range.
The updated Ioniq 5 also has a 77.4kWh battery pack and identical outputs to the Ioniq 6, and continues to offer an 800V electrical architecture.
The single-motor rear-wheel drive Dynamiq has 507km of range and dual-motor all-wheel drive models have 454km.
The Ioniq 5 range opens at $72,000 before on-roads, rising to $79,500 list for the Dynamiq and $85,000 for the Eqiq.
