Almost every variant of the Ineos Grenadier off-roader has received a $5000 price cut in Australia, one year after the prices rose by as much as $14,600.

Applied to 2025 examples of the Ineos Grenadier, only the upcoming Quartermaster Chassis Cab and the flagship Grenadier 1924 miss out on the reduction, as neither have arrived in Australia yet.

Ineos has attributed the price cuts to the French-built Grenadier receiving a Tariff Concession Order, which can be provided where “there are no known Australian manufacturers of goods that are substitutable for imported goods”.

The Quartermaster Chassis Cab is priced at $102,000 before on-roads, while the Quartermaster ute – along with the Grenadier Station Wagon – now start at $105,000 before on-roads.

In between sits the Grenadier Two-seat Utility Wagon, which starts at $104,000 before on-roads.

While pricing is down by $5000 for most models compared to 2024, it’s still up by $7000 on 2023 pricing.

The Trialmaster and Fieldmaster Editions continue to incur a $13,000 premium above base variants across the three body styles – also $8475 to $9600 higher than 2024 pricing.

As compensation, Ineos says its agents will “engage those customers [who purchased an MY24 Grenadier] to provide an accessories package of equivalent value”.

However, the prices of the base Grenadier Utility Wagon and Station Wagon have risen by $19,500 since orders opened in Australia, while some variants are up by more than $21,500.

Sitting atop the Ineos range is the new Grenadier 1924, priced from $123,600 and exclusively available in Station Wagon guise.

Built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of clothing company Belstaff, an official partner of Ineos, the Grenadier 1924 is fitted with exclusive leather trim, gloss black diamond-cut 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels and Belstaff centenary badging.

Just 1924 examples are set to be built globally, all finished in Magic Mushroom and Inky Black exterior paintwork.

All examples of the Ineos Grenadier are offered with a choice of two engines: one diesel and one petrol, both turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinders made by BMW.

    The turbo-petrol engine produces 210kW at 4750rpm and 450Nm from 1750-4000rpm, while the turbo-diesel puts out 183kW between 3250-4200rpm and 550Nm from 1250-3000rpm.

Both engines are mated to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission and a permanent four-wheel drive system.
