Jaguar is recalling a handful of F-Pace crossovers as an oil leak could result in a vehicle fire.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the oil filter housing may not meet specifications and could crack over time,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, oil could leak into the engine bay and accumulate in the presence of an ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.
“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property.”
Other JLR vehicles – the Defender, Discovery, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Velar – have also been recalled for the same issue.
- A total of three vehicles are affected from 2023 to 2024
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list is attached here
- The original recall notice is attached here
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with a JLR dealership to replace the oil filter housing, filter and associated o-rings, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact JLR Australia on 1300 787 803.
