Kia Australia has recalled 237 examples of the EV6 and Niro EV electric SUVs due to a fault which could cause a loss of power.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the driveshaft may break under load. If this occurs, it may lead to a sudden loss of motive power,” Kia said in its recall notice.
“A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
