Land Rover is celebrating 75 years since Series 1 was revealed with a special edition Defender.
The Defender 75th Limited Edition will be offered locally in both 90 and 110 body styles, with pricing kicking off at $152,077 before on-roads for the 90, and $156,157 before on-roads for the 110.
Just 75 will be offered in Australia, with a list of standard inclusions based on high-spec HSE models. They won’t touch down until April 2023.
Outside, the special Defender is painted Grasmere Green, and rides on 20-inch wheels finished in the same colour. The bumpers are finished in Ceres Silver, there’s a unique 75th Limited Edition graphic, and privacy glass is standard.
Inside, the beam running the width of the car is powder coated in Grasmere Green, and the unique graphics that feature on the outside are carried over in the form of laser-etched detailing that’s visible when you open the door.
Power in both the 90 and 110 comes from a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine making 294kW and 550Nm. The Terrain Response system, which allows the driver to configure how the engine and four-wheel drive system behave based on what they’re trying to cross, is standard.
Standard kit includes a 3D surround-view camera, a Meridian sound system, matrix LED headlights, and an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
A panoramic sunroof, 14-way powered and heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone climate, and a tow bar are also standard on the 75th Limited Edition. For a full breakdown of what comes standard on the Defender, check out our price and specs.
Along with the cars, Land Rover is offering a Lifestyle Collection to celebrate 75 years. The poster and shirt pictured above are part of the collection, sitting alongside a watch, a backpack, and a model car version of the limited-run Defender.
