McLaren is giving owners the option to extend their service contracts from three years to 12 years.
The extended service contracts are available for all Sports, Super Series and GT McLarens with less than 120,000km on the odometer.
That means the Ultimate Series models – which consists of the Senna, Senna GTR, Elva, and Speedtail – aren’t included.
Owners have the option to purchase policies in 12-24 month increments. The extended service program also includes 24-hour roadside assistance for the duration of the contract.
If you purchase the plan, you’ll be covered against the cost of parts and labour for any repair or replacement of factory-fitted parts that fail.
CarExpert has contacted McLaren for pricing information. We’ll update this when the information becomes available.
In this part of the market, there aren’t many comparable schemes. Ferrari arguably offers the most generous after-sales package of the exotic marques, with seven years of free basic servicing including labour.
