Police in Melbourne are appealing for the community to help find a man who allegedly slashed 45 tyres last month.

    A total of 38 vehicles parked on the southern side of George Street in East Melbourne had their tyres slashed around 1:15am on July 12, 2024.

    The Melbourne East Neighbourhood Policing Unit has now released CCTV footage of the alleged perpetrator.

    Police say he’s perceived to be Caucasian, with a large build, fair hair, and a handlebar moustache. He was wearing a black hoodie with bold white lettering reading ‘Brooklyn 76 Athletics’.

    He allegedly used an unspecified sharp object to slash the tyres. It’s unclear for what reason these vehicles were targeted.
