The Tumbler is one of Batman’s most iconic vehicles, having starred across three films from the mid-2000s to the early 2012s.
Now the public is being offered to buy one of 10 replicas, claimed to be “officially sanctioned by Warner Bros.” and only available to those who meet the seller’s criteria.
The seller in question is niche Batman website Wayne Enterprises – yes, named for the Caped Crusader’s company – and it’s releasing the 10 Tumblers to celebrate 85 years of Batman.
Like the stunt vehicles used in the relevant Batman films, each of the Tumblers will be powered by a Chevrolet LS V8 engine, displacing 6.2L and developing more than 390kW and 650Nm.
Drive is sent to the 18.5-inch wide rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, though unfortunately its jet engine simulator doesn’t shoot flames.
Wayne Enterprises claims its body is made from kevlar, carbon fibre, fibreglass and steel, based around a tube-frame chassis – tipping the scales at 2500kg.
The price? You’ll need to fork out US$3 million ($4.56 million) if you want a shot at owning one of these Tumblers, but if you miss out, there’s always lego sets.
