Victoria Police officers have charged two teenagers and released another four following a high-speed, early morning drive in a stolen Porsche Cayenne in Melbourne.
At about 4:20am on Monday, November 4, Victoria Police’s Air Wing detected the Cayenne travelling at more than 240km/h on the Monash Freeway.
The Cayenne – which had been reported as stolen last week following a “non-confrontational aggravated burglary” in Kew East – was eventually tracked to Huntingfield Road in Toorak, where police officers deployed ‘stop sticks’ (tyre deflators) around 5am.
Aerial footage captured by the police helicopter and subsequently published by the Herald Sun shows the SUV’s tyres separating from the vehicle.
