The Subaru BRZ 10th Anniversary Edition revealed in July is coming to Australia, with 150 examples up for grabs.
Deliveries are on track to begin during February 2023, the company said, with all examples likely to be snapped up quickly if previous BRZ sales numbers are any guide.
The tweaks are not massive by any means. The BRZ 10th Anniversary Edition comes exclusively in Subaru’s signature WR Blue and gets distinct exterior and interior styling.
There are no powertrain or chassis updates.
Based on the BRZ S variant, the additions are:
- Black finish 18-inch alloy wheels
- Crystal Black door mirror caps
- A black rear badge
- Numbered internal plate
- Embossed 10th Anniversary logo on the door trim
- Blue stitching on the door armrest, steering wheel, gear shifter boot, parking brake boot, and seat trim
- Blue perforations in the seat trim
- Black interior highlights on the AC dials and centre console buttons
Prices before on-road costs will be $43,090 for the manual and $46,890 for the auto – which in both cases is $1500 more than the equivalent BRZ S.
“We are thrilled to open the order books for this very special model, which celebrates a decade since the debut of the first Subaru BRZ,” said managing director Blair Read.
“… This is sure to attract the attention of BRZ enthusiasts and car collectors alike.
“We’re also very pleased to continue accommodating all sports car buyers, by offering this special edition BRZ in manual and automatic transmission.”
The Subaru BRZ 10th Anniversary model is similar to a version of the Toyota GR86 twin, which is called predictably enough the Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition.
The Toyota version arrives late this year and will reportedly be limited to just 86 units, making it even rarer than the Subaru.
