One of Australia’s cheapest new cars just got even cheaper at one New South Wales Suzuki dealer.

Located south of Sydney, the dealer is offering MY23 examples of the Suzuki Ignis GL with an automatic transmission for $22,500 drive-away – a discount of $2695.

A total of 10 eligible cars are in stock, and all come equipped with metallic paint which usually attracts a $595 premium.

On top of a reduced sticker price, buyers are entitled to $500 worth of complimentary genuine Suzuki accessories with the purchase of an automatic Ignis GL.

This deal is being offered to CarExpert readers exclusively, and is available until the end of November.

Deals on the Suzuki Ignis are available now. Contact a dealer via CarExpert for the best deal or call our Concierge team on 1300 587 992.

The second-generation Ignis first arrived on Australian shores in late 2016 and received a mid-life update in 2020.

It’s among the most affordable new cars in Australia, pipped by only the Kia Picanto and previous generation MG 3.

The Ignis is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder producing 66kW of power and 120Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels exclusively through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in deal specification; a five-speed manual is also offered.

Standard features for the entry-level GL include 15-inch steel wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, a four-speaker sound system, and fabric upholstery.

Annual Ignis sales in Australia tallied 1540 to the end of October, a 23 per cent drop on last year’s numbers over the same period.

The boxy Suzuki is unlikely to survive beyond 2025 due to incoming regulations mandating the fitment of autonomous emergency braking, which it doesn’t have.
