A video has been leaked of a Tesla shuttle prototype reportedly designed for The Boring Company, Elon Musk’s company that operates a passenger transport service in Las Vegas.
Posted by Jacob Orth on Twitter, the video shows a multi-passenger shuttle body at The Boring Company’s head office in Las Vegas.

The prototype has seats that run along the sides of the vehicle, what appears to be perspex on the outer walls and a Tesla steering wheel.
The vehicle looks similar to a render The Boring Company released some years ago.
The concept featured a long rectangular body, seating around the sides and middle as well as a panoramic glass roof and walls.
We’re really excited to work with the Mayor and the City to bring this new high-speed public transportation system to Chicago! https://t.co/cL1e0YfZSw

Elon Musk founded The Boring Company in 2016. It specialises in tunnel transportation for vehicles, pedestrians, freight and utility in the United States.
Its first functioning tunnel in Las Vegas uses Tesla Model X and Model Y vehicles to transport passengers, but a new 12-seater vehicle had been rumoured.
The Boring Company is yet to comment on the video but considering how similar the concept and prototype designs are, this may indicate Tesla has begun work officially on the people mover.
The Boring Company said in 2018 it planned to expand its passenger transport service to Los Angeles and Chicago.
According to Electrek, Tesla announced in 2016 it would build a ‘minibus’ using the Model X chassis, however there has been no word since.
Also in 2016, Tesla announced it will add heavy-duty trucks and a high passenger-density urban transport vehicle to its line-up.
The Tesla Semi finally went into production last year after numerous delays, but this is the first time we are seeing a glimpse of what could possibly be a “high passenger-density urban transport” vehicle.
