We all have that Play School song engraved in my minds. Unfortunately for this family in the US state of Tennessee, this became a reality when a bear went through their two cars during a vacation.
The video posted by Viral Hog shows a small bear calmly opening the door to a Kia Telluride and Honda Odyssey outside a holiday home.
“Our family was visiting the smoky mountains, and was unaware that bears can actually open doors. The bear first attempted to get into our cabin and was pushing down on the handle, but the door was locked,” a member of the group told Viral Hog.
“The video was captured right after we saw the bear, attempting to get in the cabin and we watched it head for our cars where it proceeded to open car doors and get inside the vehicles.”
It’s unclear how many people were inside the house at the time, but several voices can be heard in the background as the family looks on in shock.
In an ironic turn of events, this bear is taking a leaf out of Goldilocks’ story. It seems mama’s seat was too big so it walked over to try Papa’s. The bear then leans up on the Telluride and opens the right-side passenger door and jumps into the car.
Children inside the house can be heard yelling “close the door”, “what are you doing” before the video cuts off momentarily.
A few seconds later the video begins again as the bear migrates back to the Honda people mover.
After having a sniff at some items on the floor, the bear decides to jump inside the people mover, with a man commenting in the background “he is going to drive [the car] away”.
The bear emerges from the driver’s door with a blue packet in its mouth before casually walking away.
Fortunately, this bear didn’t tear up these cars like one recently caught on camera, which managed to get trapped inside a Toyota Corolla.
