Inside, the original Town Car leather seats are not yet bolted to the floor, but the dual air conditioning is still functioning.
The project started with a 2001 Lincoln Town Car that was fully stripped to allow for the hypercar conversion. The new fibreglass body is based on a steel tube frame and replicates the lines of the Veyron, especially in the front end.
The wheelbase is significantly longer than your average Bugatti, and the side intakes are completely blocked, but the exotic looks are retained thanks to the striking design elements.
At the back, the tailgate is styled after the Bugatti Veyron’s active rear wing/airbrake. The car’s interior, however, is in dire need of work.
The new owner will need to invest a significant amount of time and money into the interior, but the unique exterior will more than make up for it.
The car has been sitting in an unfinished state for three years, but according to the seller, it started just fine after receiving a new battery and fresh fuel.
It’s currently listed on eBay for $25,000, which is apparently less than the cost of its various parts, including a $9000 donor car, a $10k fibreglass body kit, $5000 Lamborghini doors, $4000 for the rear gull wing door, $4000 for the bonnet and boot, and $2000 for the windshield.
While it may seem crazy to create a replica limo based on a hypercar, the results can be quite convincing if done right. In fact, a photo of a black-painted car that’s included in the listing shows just how impressive the project could look once completed.
