Smart
Smart was founded in 1994 as a joint venture between watch company Swatch and Mercedes-Benz, and is best known for its diminutive fortwo city car. It exited the Australian market in 2015.
In 2019, the Smart Automobile Co., Ltd joint venture was established by Mercedes-Benz and Chinese giant Geely, with the Smart brand pivoting to electric powertrains. Since then, it has revealed new electric SUVs and confirmed a return to the Australian market in 2024.
