Volkswagen Australia is offering seven seats for the price of five in the Tiguan, as it gears up to eventually welcome two new SUVs to local showrooms.
The seven-seat Tiguan Allspace has had its price cut by $2000 at the bottom end of the range, and $2500 at the top.
Volkswagen’s new stickers reverse a price hike ($1100 on Life, $2200 on Elegance and R-Line) applied to the Allspace range for the 2024 model year.
The changes bring the Tiguan Allspace into line with the smaller five-seat Tiguan in Australia when it comes to sticker price.
Volkswagen Australia is gearing up to replace both the five- and seven-seat Tiguan ranges in 2025. Although there is currently stock of both, the Mexican-made Allspace will be produced for longer than the German-built five-seater.
A new Tiguan – which has already been revealed and launched in Europe – will hit local showrooms in around 12 months. It’ll sit below the Allspace’s replacement, set to be called the Tayron.
The Tayron is on track to arrive towards the end of 2025, according to Volkswagen Australia.
