Volkswagen is adding a limited-run Wolfsburg Edition to the Tiguan Allspace range in Australia.
Orders for the blacked-out SUV are open, ahead of a showroom arrival in October 2024. It’s priced from $63,990 before on-road costs, with the option of a panoramic glass sunroof ($2100) and Oryx White Pearl paint ($900).
Just 1000 will be offered in Australia.
The Wolfsburg Edition is based on the Tiguan Allspace 162TSI R-Line.
Power comes from the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine making 162kW of power and 350Nm of torque, with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Unique equipment on the Wolfsburg Edition includes:
- 20-inch Suzuka alloy wheels
- Black roof rails and mirror caps
- 90 per cent light absorbing rear privacy glass
- Harman Kardon sound system
- Surround-view camera
- Direct tyre pressure monitoring
- Wolfsburg badging
That’s atop what you get in the 162TSI R-Line, which includes:
- Unique R-Line exterior styling
- 20-inch Misano alloy wheels
- Black headliner
- Aluminium scuff plates
- R-Line steering wheel
- Vienna leather upholstery with Crystal Grey stitching
Volkswagen recently overhauled the pricing of its Tiguan Allspace range to mirror that of the five-seat model.
Volkswagen Australia is gearing up to replace both the five- and seven-seat Tiguan ranges in 2025. Although there is currently stock of both, the Mexican-made Allspace will be produced for longer than the German-built five-seater.
A new Tiguan – which has already been revealed and launched in Europe – will hit local showrooms in around 12 months. It’ll sit below the Allspace’s replacement, set to be called the Tayron.
The Tayron is on track to arrive towards the end of 2025, according to Volkswagen Australia.
