The Subaru BRZ is entering 2025 with minimal changes and the same pricing as 2024 examples.

Subaru has announced a small alteration to the BRZ’s equipment list, with the flagship tS now gaining a full-sized spare wheel in place of its tyre repair kit, while manual variants now get the same Sport Mode as found on automatic examples.

Pricing continues to open at $43,790 before on-road costs for the base BRZ manual, with automatic versions incurring a $1000 premium.

The BRZ’s price was most recently increased last year, when manual versions of the coupe finally received autonomous emergency braking and lane-departure warning – previously exclusive to automatics – at the cost of an extra $3500.

It’s not clear whether the 2025 BRZ will include updates made to the Japanese-market model – and its Toyota GR86 twin – earlier this year, which included optimised dampers and revised electric power steering characteristics.

While the Subaru BRZ became Australia’s most popular sub-$80,000 sports car earlier this year, the arrival of the new-generation Ford Mustang has seen it lose its lead.

However, the 832 BRZs delivered between January and October places it ahead of the 506 Toyota GR86s registered in the same period. It also leads the Mazda MX-5 (568 deliveries).
