Nissan is introducing four new products to Australia between now and the end of March 2027, with replacements for two of its volume sellers plus a pair of electric vehicles (EVs).
That seemingly arbitrary deadline is because this timing is based on Nissan’s Arc mid-term business plan, which outlines various goals it expects to achieve by the end of the 2026 Japanese fiscal year.
Nissan is launching a replacement for the Navara, which is expected to share much with the new Mitsubishi Triton and could gain plug-in hybrid and Nismo variants.

Ariya
The new-generation ute has yet to be revealed.
The current Navara arrived here all the way back in 2015. It’s therefore now one of the oldest vehicles in its segment, though it has received numerous updates since its launch.
The Ariya EV has been locked in for Australia at long last, with sales starting in the second half of 2025 – around three years after sales began in some overseas markets.
Before the end of March 2027, the Ariya will be joined by a replacement for today’s Leaf EV that recently ended production in the UK.
Chill-Out
This model, which has yet to be revealed, is expected to shift to a more SUV-like shape instead of being a hatchback like the current model. It may look like the 2021 Chill-Out concept.
These are in addition to the new Y63-series Patrol, for which Nissan had already confirmed orders would open in late 2026 ahead of 2027 deliveries.
Australia is the first right-hand drive market for the new Patrol, which will first go on sale in various left-hand drive markets in 2025.

With these introductions, Nissan is renewing three of its oldest models.
They’ll join a lineup of SUVs and a sports car which have all been replaced relatively recently.
The current Juke is the oldest, having launched here in 2020, with the Qashqai, X-Trail, Pathfinder and Z following it in 2022.
The Qashqai is receiving a substantial facelift before the end of 2024.
