The BYD Festival has kicked off, bringing with it an interestingly named ‘Black Out Event’ featuring discounts of $3000 across almost all of the Chinese auto brand’s entire model range and a free home charger – but only for a limited time.

From November 14 to 16, buyers of the Dolphin hatch, Seal sedan, Atto 3 SUV, and Sealion 6 SUV can benefit from the $3000 purchase price reduction, providing they take delivery before December 31, 2024.

The upcoming BYD Shark 6 ute is not included in the offer.

This deal can’t be combined with any other offers, and neither the discount nor the complementary charger are transferable by the named purchaser.

The charger is described as a 230V/32A unit, with a power output of 7kW. Also included is a 7m Type 2 cable, though the charger’s stand and additional accessories are not included. Buyers can choose between white, grey or black finishes.

BYD says the free charger will be delivered to participants following the delivery of their vehicle, with standard postage included. Additional charges may apply for expediated shipping or special delivery requests.
