Code brown! Crash sends truck hurtling towards portaloo

A semi-trailer barrelling towards you is the last thing you want to see as you exit a portaloo.

In a shocking crash recorded on the truck driver’s dashcam, a Ram driver’s poor decision results in a three vehicle crash that sent one truck heading towards the portaloo.

The collision took place on Interstate 26 in Polk County, about 150km from Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to the dashcam footage, the truck driver was travelling at 91km/h at the time of the collision.

The video begins with the large truck and white ute traveling down I-26.

Within a few seconds of the video, another heavy truck appears in the right-hand lane traveling at considerably lower speeds compared to the other vehicles on the road.

The driver of the ute fails to slow down and instead decides to change lanes without looking in their blind spot.

It’s hard to tell if the white ute indicates prior to merging, but nevertheless the truck driver doesn’t have time to slow down.

The video shows the ute getting wedged between the two trucks, and as a result of the force from the vehicles colliding, major damage to the driver’s side door occurs and causes the airbags to deploy and glass to burst everywhere.

The video ends as the truck makes a b-line for a portaloo located on the side of highway.

According to WLOS ABC 13 News, North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed no one was seriously injured in the incident.

The driver of the white ute was reportedly charged with careless and reckless driving.

WLOS ABC 13 News reports that Homestretch Logistical Solutions – responsible for the dashcam – released the footage to show the significance of “all drivers sharing the road and allowing all motorists the space they need for safe operation of their vehicles.”

Fortunately, it appears nobody was in the portaloo.
