Do you have everything to build your own Lamborghini Aventador but just missing that final piece? If that final piece is the carbon-fibre tub and you need it in Australia, you may be in luck.
GT Auto Spares – a South Australian company specialising in dismantling high-end European and Japanese performance cars – has listed the full carbon monocoque from a 2019 Aventador S Roadster on eBay for a relative bargain of $59,989.
According to the listing, the car was “involved in a front end accident damaging the front K frame”, leading to a statutory write-off that meant it couldn’t be re-registered in Australia.

The seller states the monocoque “has sustained no damage”, and it’s supposedly the perfect fit to re-shell a crashed Aventador that has carbon tub damage.
According to eBay’s compatibility chart, the tub will fit Aventador S models built from 2016 to 2023, all of which were fitted with a 6.5-litre V12 engine and all-wheel drive as standard.
GT Auto Spares states the tub is right-hand drive but the steering mount bracket locations are interchangeable, and the donor car had completed 10,324km at the time of the accident.
The company says it can ship worldwide with different arrangements depending on shipment size, but if you live in Australia you can pick the tub up for free in Lonsdale.
Other listings from GT Auto Spares include a seat, wiring harness, and engine cover from the same Aventador, as well as complete monocoque body shells for other exotics like the McLaren 650S and MP4-12C Spider.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen complete car shells for sale online. A Chinese manufacturer is reproducing shells of the classic Toyota AE86 Corolla, which are for sale on Alibaba.
