Drive Against Depression (DAD), an Australian-registered mental health charity, will end its 2024 event calendar with the Adelaide Spring Drive Day on November 17.
Following a successful debut in South Australia earlier this year, DAD will host its final event of the year with a drive through Adelaide’s scenic surrounds, starting from Windy Point and concluding at Birdwood.
At the end of the drive, participants will have the opportunity to visit Birdwood’s legendary National Motor Museum.

In addition to the drive program, participants on the day will be introduced to StandBy Support After Suicide, delivered by AnglicareSA. Adelaide coordinator Michelle Roberts will present to those in attendance.
StandBy is Australia’s leading postvention program, dedicated to supporting people impacted or bereaved by suicide.
“DAD and StandBy share similarities of purpose – we both seek to provide a meaningful means of connection and support and reduce the risk factors associated with death by suicide,” said Drive Against Depression co-founder Sarah Davis.
“DAD’s grass-roots methodology provides judgement-free opportunities for connection and we continue to build vital opportunities to normalise mental health conversations.”
Registration for the upcoming Adelaide Spring Drive Day is now open via the organisation’s website.
Drive Against Depression holds regular motoring events and continues to build a network of mental health practitioners to support the community, offering a non-judgemental opportunity for people to connect with others and feel comfortable about sharing their mental wellness journey.
In the past 12 months, the organisation has expanded beyond its usual Melbourne operations across the eastern seaboard with events in Sydney and Brisbane, and more recently hosted its inaugural Adelaide event in April.
Various members of the CarExpert team are proud long-time supporters of DAD and its events. James Wong (Marketplace Editor) is a current charity ambassador, and founder Paul Maric is a former ambassador.
