The driver of a Chevrolet Camaro has lost control of his car and toppled over spectators, before rear-ending another car in an attempt to drive away.
Both drivers were doing donuts while a large crowd of spectators gathered around, far too closely for safety.
The driver of the Camaro can be seen losing control of the vehicle as it takes a wide turn into the crowd, ploughing into spectators and even sending some flying into the dirt.
The driver appears to regain control and attempts to drive away, however a Ford Mustang – also in the ring – appears in front and is rear-ended by the Camaro.
The video ends after the collision occurs. It’s unclear if anyone was seriously injured or taken to hospital.
According to GM Authority, sideshows or street takeovers are types of – at times illegal – events that take place where drivers gather to show off their skills and burn some rubber.
Such events can take place either at a street intersection, or like in this video, a wide open space.
An alarming number of videos of these events that are posted on social media show vehicles losing control and smashing into crowds, resulting in injuries to spectators.
