The Jaguar F-Pace has been discontinued in the UK, drawing the curtain on the historic luxury brand’s final remaining model in its domestic market, where the British carmaker will now only sell used cars until 2026.

    In a statement to Autocar yesterday, Jaguar parent JLR said the brand won’t sell any more new vehicles in the UK until it launches a new generation of models in 2026.

    “From November 2024, new Jaguar sales will come to an end ahead of our new brand reveal later this year and product launch in 2026,” said JLR.

    “We have now ceased allocation of our current generation of Jaguar vehicles. We do have a selection of models available to acquire on an Approved Pre-Owned basis through our UK retail network.”

    The UK-built Jaguar XE and XF sedans and the F-Type sports car were axed in the British market earlier this year, along with the Austrian-made E-Pace and (electric) I-Pace SUVs.

    However, the E-Pace, F-Pace and I-Pace remain in production for other global markets including Australia, where all three SUVs continue on sale, and where limited stocks of the F-Type V8 are still available.

    Jaguar Australia continues to list the mid-sized XE and large XF sedans – each in a single 300 Sport AWD variant – on its public website and in national price lists, but only used or demo versions of them remain available.

    Jaguar UK’s “reset period” comes ahead of a major model range renewal for the 101-year-old carmaker, which is expected to preview a 450kW four-seat electric GT to rival the Porsche Taycan later this year.

    This will be followed by a Bentley Bentayga-style luxury SUV in 2026, then a large premium sedan – all based on a bespoke new platform named JEA.

    Earlier this year after the XE, XF, E-Pace and I-Pace were killed off in the UK, JLR boss Adrian Mardell told Autocar: “None of those are vehicles on which we made any money, so we are replacing them with new vehicles on newly designed architectures.”

    Jaguar sold almost 22,000 F-Pace vehicles globally last year – more than the rest of its six-model lineup combined.

    Its sales were also more than double that of the I-Pace, which came in second with 7000 sales.

    Making the decision to axe all of its models in the UK easier is the fact Land Rover has long sold far more vehicles than Jaguar in its home market, as it does in Australia.

    So far this year to September, Jaguar Australia has sold 620 vehicles – up 65.8 per cent on 2023 – with the F-Pace accounting for more than half of its total sales.

    Meantime in the same period, Land Rover Australia has sold more than triple that number of vehicles with 6113 sales, dominated by the Defender (2427) and Range Rover Sport (1738).
