The Lexus UX, NX and RX crossovers have been treated to the limited-run Crafted Edition treatment in Australia.

It’s a return of the popular special models for the NX and RX, and the first time the limited-edition nameplate has been used for the compact UX.

All models sport enhanced equipment compared to the variants on which they’re based, and also feature black pack-style aesthetic enhancements.

The new Crafted Editions also come with the full-fat Lexus Encore Platinum ownership program – meaning owners have access to valet parking vouchers and Lexus on-demand vehicle loans at various airports around Australia.

Prices start at $55,075 for the UX200 Crafted Edition, $61,500 for the NX300 Crafted Edition, and $76,886 for the RX300 Crafted Edition, all prices excluding on-road costs.

The NX and RX Crafted Editions are available with multiple drivetrain options.

    Lexus UX200 Crafted Edition

It’s the first time the entry-level UX crossover has received the Crafted Edition treatment, with the limited-run model based on the Luxury EP2 variant.

Additional kit includes dark chrome accents for the front grille, and black accents for the headlight surrounds, grille insert, roof rails and mirror caps, as well as black 18-inch alloy wheels.

The UX200 Crafted Edition features door puddle lamps and a power moonroof over the Luxury EP2 specification, and inside the special model brings extra equipment like smart key card entry and start, a head-up display and a Crafted-specific black and blue interior colour scheme with light grey contrast stitching.

Power comes from the UX200’s 126kW 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine driving the front wheels via a CVT automatic.

For reference, carryover equipment includes climate control, heated front seats, a power tailgate, wireless phone charger, and a 10.3-inch navigation system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It also features the Lexus Safety System+ suite encompassing autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian (day/night) and cyclist (day) detection, adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist, auto high beam, road sign assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

As noted earlier, the UX200 Crafted Edition is priced from $55,075 before on-road costs, with metallic paint included as standard (usually a $1500 option).

    Lexus NX Crafted Edition

Lexus’ top-selling NX crossover brings back the Crafted Edition for 2021, with four variants available.

Based on the base Luxury trim level, the NX Crafted Editions are distinguishable by their black grille and mirror caps, as well as model-specific 18-inch alloy wheels.

Additional specification also includes a power moonroof, smart keycard entry and a 360-degree camera system. Carryover features include dual-zone climate control, heated and powered front seats, a 10.3-inch navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 10-speaker audio system.

Like the smaller UX, the NX also comes equipped as standard with Lexus Safety System+.

The NX Crafted Edition is available in 175kW NX300 turbo petrol and 147kW NX300h petrol-electric hybrid variants, both with 2WD and AWD available.

Prices start at $61,500 plus on-road costs for the NX300 2WD Crafted Edition, and $64,500 before on-roads for the NX300h 2WD Crafted Edition.

    Lexus RX Crafted Edition

Finally, the Lexus RX Crafted Edition also returns for 2021, with enhanced specification over the Luxury variants.

Available in five-seat 175kW RX300 FWD turbo petrol and 221kW RX350 AWD V6 engine variants, the RX Crafted Edition features additional items such as a black grille, black mirror caps, and model-specific 20-inch alloy wheels.

Beyond the aesthetic updates, the RX Crafted Editions also boast courtesy lamps and a power moonroof over the base Luxury specification.

Carryover equipment for both models includes dual-zone climate control, powered front seats and steering column, wireless phone charging, keyless smart entry and start, a hands-free power tailgate, a 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker premium audio system.

Lexus Safety System+ is also standard.

Pricing starts at $76,886 for the RX300 Crafted Edition and $86,136 for the RX350 Crafted Edition, both before on-road costs.
