The buyer of a used car in the US carried through on his promise of driving it through the front of the dealership he got it from.
KUTV reports 35-year-old Michael Lee Murray was charged with multiple offences after he allegedly drove through the storefront of Tim Dahle Mazda in Sandy, Utah.
Video of the incident was shared by KUTV, showing the Subaru Outback crashing through the glass front doors and hitting the (fortunately unoccupied) front desk.
The perpetrator angrily steps out of the car, at one point addressing the person filming and saying, “I told you mother*#%&ers!”

Police allege Mr Murray bought the used Outback from Tim Dahle Mazda earlier that day but returned later to demand his money back, only to be told the sales contract specified the vehicle was being sold “as-is” and couldn’t be returned.
“Murray told the manager that since they are not giving his money back he was going to drive his vehicle through the front doors,” reads the arresting officer’s affidavit, according to KUTV.
“Murray then walked out of the building, got into his vehicle that he bought from them earlier, and drove it through the front doors into the building.”
After crashing into the dealership, where seven salespeople were reportedly working, Mr Murray allegedly picked up his coat and walked outside to wait for police to arrive and arrest him.
“As officers approached, Murray was standing right outside the front door and when asked what was going on he said they sold him a ‘lemon’ and they would not give him his money back for the vehicle that he had bought,” the officer’s report states.
“…Murray was cooperative while being placed into custody. Murray said that he would not be speaking with officers.”
It’s unclear what issues Mr Murray believes the vehicle had.
He’s now facing legal issues to the tune of multiple charges.
According to court documents, he was booked into Salt Lake County Jail for second-degree felony criminal mischief with more than US$5000 (~$7800) worth of property damage. According to KUTV, the incident caused US$10,000 (~A$15,600) in damage, and the dealership had to temporarily close.
Mr Murray was also charged with a pair of Class A misdemeanours – one for reckless endangerment, the other for economic interruption. He was released from jail on his own recognisance later that night.
