Cupra Australia has confirmed a series of 2024 model-year tweaks across its range, with its top-selling Formentor crossover receiving the most changes.

The MY24 Cupra Formentor sees the addition of DAB+ and a power tailgate as standard equipment, while the flagship 228kW VZx will now offer the option of an Akrapovic titanium exhaust – priced from $6300, identical to the same option available on the Ateca VZx.

Cupra is the sole VW Group brand that has been able to offer the performance exhaust in Australia as an ongoing option, with Volkswagen only bringing in limited numbers of special-edition vehicles featuring the Akrapovic system despite it being a factory option overseas.

Another new option is the revised Leather and Camera Package ($2800) available across the Formentor V, VZ and VZe range.

It replaces the old Leather and Power Package, though comes in at a cheaper price point now that a hands-free power tailgate is standard. It includes Nappa leather upholstery, heated front seats, power driver’s seat with memory, and a surround-view camera system.

Pricing is up by $2000 for Formentor V, VZ and VZe models, while the VZx is up by a more modest $1800. See the price list below for the full breakdown.

Orders for the MY24 Cupra line-up will “be available shortly” ahead of deliveries commencing late in the third quarter of 2023. However, the company has confirmed “significant MY23 stock” is arriving into Cupra’s local dealer network at pre-adjusted pricing.
