Mini planning electric convertible by 2025 - report
Did you think the electric era spelled the end of the convertible? Mini doesn’t think so, as it reportedly plans a new, all-electric convertible.

About the Mini Convertible
Last updated Dec 18, 2024The 2021 Mini Convertible is classified as a 2 Door Convertible which was previously on sale in Australia as part of the F57 generation, starting from $38,000 MLRP for the COOPER CLASSIC and topping out at $62,800 for the NIGHTFALL EDITION JCW.
There are 38 variants available for our market and the current year model went on sale in March of 2021. The Convertible is built in Netherlands and is available with Turbo Direct Fuel Injection , equipped with a 7 Speed Auto S Tronic Dual Cl transmission with the drive sent to front-wheel-drive.
Other powertrain options include:
- Turbo Direct Fuel Injection, equipped with a 6 Speed Manual transmission with the drive sent to front-wheel-drive
- Turbo Direct Fuel Injection, equipped with a 7 Speed Auto Dual Clutch transmission with the drive sent to front-wheel-drive
- Turbo Direct Fuel Injection, equipped with a 7 Speed Auto S Tronic Dual Cl transmission with the drive sent to front-wheel-drive
