The Porsche Cayenne is now available once again with a V8 engine, thanks to the introduction of the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe – on sale now from $192,900 plus on-road costs.

Available to order ahead of first deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2020, the Cayenne GTS models are powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 outputting 338kW of power and 620Nm of torque.

Porsche claims both versions of the Cayenne GTS can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds with the Sport Chrono package (optional on Cayenne, standard on Cayenne Coupe), with top speed rated at 270km/h.

The new model’s 4.0-litre engine offers 14kW and 20Nm more than the 3.6-litre unit in the previous Cayenne GTS, with the dash to triple figures 0.6 quicker. Top speed has also improved by 8km/h.

Drive is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. Fuel consumption is rated at 11.2-11.4L/100km depending on specification, with braked towing capacity rated at 3500kg.

Equipment highlights for the Australian market will include a 90L fuel tank, adaptive air suspension, privacy glass, auto-dimming mirrors, the drive memory package, heated front seats, comfort access, Lane Change Assist, surround cameras, a head-up display, digital radio, and a Bose surround sound system.

That’s on top of the standard global specification which features satin-gloss 21-inch RS Spyder Design alloy wheels, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System and LED tail-light bar (both tinted), as well as black exterior accents including the front intakes, side window trims, sports exhaust tailpipes, and rear Porsche logos.

Inside, there’s Alcantara for the headliner, seat centre panels, centre console armrests and door trims, as well as dark brushed aluminium inlays. Other features include exclusive eight-way sports seats, and GTS logos throughout the cabin.

The Cayenne GTS gets a standard panoramic sunroof in Australia, while the Cayenne GTS Coupe’s fixed glass roof is standard globally.

Buyers can order the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe now.
