Holden
GM Holden was the Australian subsidiary of General Motors (GM) until it was retired in 2020 after more than 100 years of operations.
The Lion Brand was once a leading local manufacturer, producing a number of models in Australia including the iconic Commodore, Statesman and Caprice.
Other popular nameplates based on global GM models included the Astra, Barina, Captiva, Colorado and Trailblazer. For a short period, Holden also offered the Equinox and Acadia SUVs - rebadged versions of their Chevrolet and GMC equivalents from the US.
