2023 Toyota Prius

A hotter Toyota Prius could debut next year with a GR-fettled hybrid drivetrain and revised suspension and brakes.

The next sporty Toyota could be a Prius, based on a new Gazoo Racing teaser leading into Le Mans.

If you weren't already green with envy over the fifth-generation Prius, Toyota is now reportedly working on a sportier GRMN version.

The Toyota Prius gets more powerful 2.0-litre hybrid and plug-in hybrid options, the latter with more EV range, but the new generation isn't expected to come here.

Toyota will reportedly introduce a hydrogen-combustion powertrain in its Corolla and a hydrogen plug-in hybrid in its Prius in 2023.
