Xpeng

XPeng was founded in 2014 in Guangzhou, China, and started production of its first vehicle – the G3 SUV – in 2018. Traded on the New York Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Xpeng exclusively offers electric vehicles (EVs). It started exporting vehicles from China in 2021, and has received an investment from the Volkswagen Group with which it is collaborating on EVs. TrueEV announced early in 2024 it had been appointed as the brand’s sole importer, distributor and retailer in Australia, with the Tesla Model Y-rivalling G6 being the brand’s first product in Australia.
