Electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr’s first model in Australia will be the small X SUV, and the Chinese brand has now released initial specification details.

The release comes after yesterday’s announcement of preliminary pricing for the Zeekr X.

The electric SUV is due to launch here in October.

    Pricing

The Zeekr X in single-motor rear-wheel drive guise will open at under $60,000 before on-road costs, while the dual-motor all-wheel drive model will open at under $70,000 before on-road costs.

Final pricing will be announced closer to the X’s launch in October, but these preliminary details suggest it could undercut the Volvo EX30 crossover with which it shares its Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) underpinnings.
