Jeep has introduced new nationwide drive-away pricing for its slow-selling Gladiator ute that, depending on the version, lops up to $25,000 off the asking price.

The entry-level Jeep Gladiator Night Eagle is now priced at $64,000 drive-away, which is $14,250 cheaper than the previous list price and around $20,000 more affordable drive-away, depending on the state.

The flagship Gladiator Rubicon on the other hand is now priced at $70,000 drive-away, which is $17,250 cheaper than the previous list price. Depending on the state, it’s now up to $25,000 more affordable drive-away.

It’s worth noting this nationwide drive-away pricing offer is technically on current model year 2023 (MY23) examples. An updated model is due in the third quarter of 2024.

All current examples of the Jeep Gladiator are powered by a 3.6-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine that produces 209kW of power and 347Nm of torque.

This is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an on-demand four-wheel drive system.

A new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) 4xe powertrain has been confirmed for the updated model, though it’s unclear if it will come to Australia.

The Jeep Gladiator is currently one of the slowest-selling 4×4 utes in the segment. In the first half of 2024 a total of 169 examples were sold, well and truly trailing popular utes like the Ford Ranger (30,620 sales) and Toyota HiLux (24,980 sales).

The only ute the Gladiator outsold over the same period was the plush GWM Cannon Alpha (81 sales), though it has only been on sale for a few months.

The Gladiator has received multiple price hikes since launching here in 2020.

Though the range initially opened at $75,450 before on-road costs, a Sport S variant arrived later in 2020 with a price tag of $65,450 before on-roads.

The following year, this was replaced with the Night Eagle, priced at $68,450 before on-roads.

In 2022, Jeep raised Gladiator prices by up to $2350, and then again later in the year by up to $3200. In 2023, they were increased by a further $4800 across the range.

New drive-away pricing for the Jeep Gladiator is as follows:

    Model VariantDrive-away pricingPrice difference
    Jeep Gladiator Night Eagle$64,000~$19,000-$22,000
    Jeep Gladiator Rubicon$70,000~$22,000-$25,000
