Last updated Aug 25, 2025The new Hyundai Kona is a small SUV offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $23,500 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the GO variant and topping out at $68,000 for the Premium.
There are 17 variants of the Kona available in Australia and this generation went on sale in July of 2025.
Engine options include 1.6L null (104kW/264Nm), 2.0L null (110kW/180Nm), null (99kW/255Nm), 2.0L multi-point injection (110kW/180Nm), 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (213kW/392Nm), 1.6L petrol direct injection (104kW/264Nm), 1.6L turbo petrol direct injection (146kW/264Nm) and 1.6L turbo (146kW/264Nm). Non-electric variants are available with 6-speed automatic, 8-speed automatic, 7-speed automatic or manual transmissions. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2026 Kona is offered with a 5 year, unlimited km warranty.
