Toyota has said the HiLux will enter 2025 with no changes, having received a comprehensive facelift this year.

Last updated Dec 18, 2024The 2025 Toyota Hilux remains largely unchanged, given the update to Australia's second-best-selling ute in 2024, which brought new V-Active technology on select double-cab 4x4 variants, refreshed exterior styling, and additional specifications.While it' s not exactly what we would call a hybrid, this technology provides electric assistance to the 150kW/500Nm 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine on select 4x4 automatic double-cab models.

2025 Toyota HiLux Exterior
Most HiLux grades, except the WorkMate and SR single-cab and petrol variants, receive a refreshed front-end design with new bumpers and a honeycomb mesh grille since 2024. At the rear, WorkMate, SR, SR5, and GR Sport pick-ups feature a gloss black rear bumper, while the Rogue has a dark grey finish.
The SR5 grades now include dark-finished LED headlamps, gloss black exterior mirrors, door handles, tailgate handle, and a powder-coated sports bar for pick-up models. All pick-up grades are fitted with a tailgate damper with lift assist, using a gas strut and steel cable. SR double-cab automatic variants add front and rear parking sensors.
Double-cab automatic SR5 grades, as well as the Rogue and GR Sport, come equipped with a wireless charger and two rear USB-C ports for additional charging capability.
